This is the second preseason list on which Miller is named. Last week, he was named to the watch list for the Maxwell Trophy.

The Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2011, Miller threw for 1,159 yards and 13 touchdowns. Additionally, he ran for 715 yards and seven touchdowns.

Semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award will be named on Oct. 22. Three finalists will be announced on Nov. 19, and the winner will be announced on the Home Depot College Football Awards show on Dec. 6.
